Let’s get censored!

I saw this a while ago. And I think it’s just great. Social criticism at its best. Cleverly mixed with an ounce of irony. After all, what’s the best way to protest unnecessary censorship? To have fun with it. And to make fun OF it!

Apparently musical mastermind Fatboy Slim has a finger in the pie. Which doesn’t surprise me at all. Knowing that he is responsible for some of the best music videos ever made. Period.

Oh yeah… I like the song, too. =)

Prediction…

Mark my words… THIS will be the next Jamba ringtone-hit in Germany. And it’ll probably hit the charts again some time this year. No doubt about it! 

Best part is the absolutly random reference to german tennis legend Boris Becker.

Apparently this song by Bruce & Bongo was No.1 in Germany in 1986. I seemed to have repressed that memory. But now it’s painfully coming back.

The german word “Geil” is best translated with “sweet” or “rad”. It originally meant “horny” though…
